Abstract: The article deals with the mediation procedure. Several definitions are given due to the absence of common terminology, also the features and principles of the procedure are considered. The primary focus is on the applicability of mediation negotiations in relation to conflict resolution within families at a state of a crisis. The article identifies the possible difficulties in family mediation and also problems, contradictions, prerequisites for the creation of a regional network model for school mediation service.
