Abstract. The use of information and communication technologies in education can play a crucial role in providing new and innovative forms of support to both the learning process and its participants. This is directly related to distance learning, since it is technologies that ensure the continuity of the educational process, make it innovative, dynamic and effective. Choosing a platform for on-line classes can be a determining factor, but not a momentary solution, relying only on technical characteristics. The article describes the experience of working with distance learning systems, which made it possible to evaluate their advantages and disadvantages. The choice of the platform is due to the situation, goals and objectives of a certain type of activity and course as a whole. The use of technologies provides the opportunity to use distance learning not only as an additional component of the educational process, but also as an independent form of training.
