Abstract: The article discusses the influence of psychological and social factors on the occurrence of an inferiority complex and the features of its manifestation. The most frequent scenarios for the appearance of an inferiority complex are consistently disclosed. Several examples of the manifestation of an inferiority complex in different personalities are considered. To implement the research tasks, the authors conducted a sociopsychological study in November, 2022. The object of empirical research was 20 students of the Volgograd Institute of Management, a branch of the RANEPA, aged 18–19 years. For practical research, we used a self-determination test of an inferiority complex, which consists of 30 questions. The results of the study show that the respondents own assessment of the inferiority complex differs from what it really is. Everyone has an inferiority complex, but each person evaluates it differently: someone thinks he or she has a lot of complexes, and someone thinks he or she is perfect. The largest percentage in this testing took a low level of self-determination of the inferiority complex. These respondents believe that they do not have complexes at all, though everyone does. Such people often have an inflated self-esteem, because of which they do not see themselves from the outside. The authors offer recommendations for working with an inferiority complex, which can be used in the work, depending on the conditions.

Abstract: This paper presents an analysis of an empirical study of the peculiarities of gender representations of young people in the field of family and marriage relations. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of the family that young people aged 21 to 26 give it. In the theoretical part, the concepts of family, marriage, and role functions in the family are considered. The collection of empirical data was carried out by the questionnaire method. The data were processed by methods of mathematical statistics (T-criterion for independent samples). The results of the study showed the peculiarities of ideas about family and marriage relations depend on gender. Men and women strive for the same distribution of household responsibilities, they want to take the same part in raising children and maintaining the emotional well-being of the family. Opposite opinions among men and women were revealed on the scales of “The role of a sexual partner” and “Entertainment Organization”: male respondents believe that these roles belong to the female sex, and the female part of respondents attribute this role to the male. This study allows us to expand and generalize the characteristics of family and marriage relations according to young people.
