Abstract. The socio-economic development of modern Russia requires the preparation of a socially active person who knows the laws and observes the norms of the rule of law. The rapid formation of legal literacy occurs in adolescence. During this period, the process of maximum socialization of a person is activated and the creation of moral-penny attitudes that determine the character and behavior of a person. Learned in this. age legal norms will become the basis for the conscious and legitimate behavior of a citizen. The most important component in the socialization of a teenager. is the family. The socializing potential of family values, relationships and actions within the family contributes to the formation of a teenager's legal literacy. The development of adolescents' legal literacy is a complex and multifaceted process aimed at special personal education associated with self-determination of the individual. The task of developing legal literacy is quite multifaceted and complex, where most of the educational function is borne by the family.
The main directions for the development of legal literacy of a teenager in a family are considered. First, the family is obliged to contribute to the upbringing of strong-willed qualities and self-esteem in the child. Secondly, it is extremely important for parents to observe the stage of manifestation of a teenager's socio-political aspirations. Make sure that the child does not fall into criminal and other dubious groups that defend false illegal ideas. Thirdly, in our opinion, the main task of the family in the process of forming the legal literacy of a teenager is to create an interest in the child in studying the legal sphere of relations. In order for the process of forming the legal literacy of schoolchildren within the family to be as efficient as possible, it is necessary to organize joint work with parents within the framework of a general educational organization. , thereby helping and advising them in matters of legal culture.
It is the family that is the first source of the formation of the child's ideas about the spiritual, moral, patriotic, civil and legal spheres of life. The harmonious development of the entire civil society depends on the degree of family participation in the formation of the norms of legal behavior of the younger generation.
