Abstract: This article considers the use of gaming technologies as an effective and universal form of teaching lexical and grammatical skills of a foreign language to elementary school students. The text describes the development of games and their practical application in English lessons, as this makes the process of forming grammatical skills more interesting, disciplined, successful, active and emotionally intense. The emotionality aspect of the game action activates all the psychological processes and functions of the child, which contributes to deeper memorization of the material and increases motivation to learn the language. Participation in games is an excellent method of developing communication skills and confidence in using language in real situations. The conducted research revealed that the use of gaming technologies is an effective tool for teaching a foreign language at school and can be successfully used in English lessons. These technologies contribute to the development of language and communication skills of students, as well as increase their motivation and interest in learning the language. That is, the use of gaming technologies in teaching a foreign language in primary school allows you to create a stimulating and effective educational environment that contributes to the successful formation of language skills and the active involvement of students in the process of learning a language.
